Position Overview:
Kindergarten school teachers are responsible for fostering a vibrant classroom community where imagination, truth-seeking, and goodness are celebrated. They employ a blend of traditional and innovative teaching methods to inspire a love of learning, manage diverse tasks, and drive exceptional student achievement.
Core Competencies & Responsibilities:
- Provide holistic academic, character, and cultural formation within an inviting and growth-oriented classroom environment.
- Direct students’ academic growth in alignment with school standards, delivering instruction that is both academically excellent and character-building.
- Foster inquiry-driven, collaborative, and rigorous curriculum aligned with national and state standards, nurturing students’ love of learning and critical thinking skills.
- Establish high expectations for student achievement and maintain accountability through ongoing assessment and targeted intervention.
- Model the school mission through professional conduct, engagement in ongoing development, and building meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate student records, reflect on professional practice, and seek continuous growth through feedback and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Teaching certification as an elementary school teacher preferred.
